Description & Requirements

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Logistics Operative with driving responsibilities to support all areas of our logistics operations. This role involves working across goods-in inspection, stores, despatch, and delivery driving. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow within the role. This position requires flexibility, teamwork, and a commitment to maintaining high standards across all areas of the logistics operation.

Key Responsibilities:

Goods-In / Inspection:

    Receive and book in deliveries accurately.

    Inspect incoming materials for quality and compliance.

    Ensure all documentation is correctly processed.

Stores:

    Conduct regular stock takes and maintain accurate inventory records.

    Pick and prepare orders.

    Maintain a clean and organised storage area.

Despatch:

    Package products according to company and customer specifications.

    Prepare shipments and ensure timely despatch.

    Book products out using the IFS system 

Driving & Deliveries:

    Drive company vehicles to deliver goods to locations in the surrounding area including Milton Keynes, Northampton, Luton and where required.

    Ensure safe and timely delivery of products.


Person Specification:

    Adaptable and flexible

    Interest in logistics operations and keen to develop knowledge and skills in this area.

    Strong attention to detail.

    Good understanding of English including verbal and written communication skills

    A team player who can also work independently and take initiative.

    Professional attitude with strong communication skills and organisational skills.


Desirable Experience & Skills:

    Previous experience in logistics, warehousing, or goods handling.

    Familiarity with ERP systems such as IFS or similar platforms.

    Basic IT literacy, including the ability to use inventory and booking systems.

    Understanding of health and safety practices in a logistics environment.


Qualifications:

    Valid UK driving licence (essential).
