We’re looking for an experienced Quality Control (QC) Inspector to join our dynamic Finishing Cell team. In this vital role, you’ll help ensure that every product leaving our facility meets the highest standards of quality and reliability. From inspecting intricate electronic components to supporting continuous improvement, your expertise will help shape the quality our customer’s trust.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections of PTH and SMT components, ensuring compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Perform mechanical inspections, including adhesive application, hardware, metal work, and cosmetic damage assessments.
- Use precision tools and equipment to verify product quality and perform tests and measurements.
- Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarising re-work and waste, and inputting data into quality databases.
- Identify and report defects or non-conformities, working closely with quality and engineering teams to resolve issues.
- Support and enforce quality control procedures and best practices.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control policies and procedures.
- Participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to address quality issues.
- Maintain a clean and organised inspection area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly calibrated and maintained.
- Provide in-house training and guidance to staff on quality standards and inspection techniques.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process enhancements and efficiency gains.
- Ensure compliance with IPC-A-610.
- Adhere to customer-specific standards and requirements for PCB manufacturing.
Person Specification
- Proven experience in a QC Inspector or similar role.
- Experience in Radio Frequency Applications. (Preferred)
- Experience in the manufacturing or EMS industry.
- Experience working with ISO standards and quality management systems.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment (e.g., microscopes, callipers, micrometres, gauges).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Team player with effective communication and great interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, quality databases).
